TFABC programming includes an EGG DROP Egg-Sperience during which students craft a structure to hold a raw egg which is then dropped from a fire engine ladder truck. In 2025-2026 seven elementary schools participated. The full and enthusiastic support of the Gibsons and Sechelt Fire Depts is a huge element of the program. Young people (but in truth, people of all ages) like to hang around a fire truck!

In 2023 TFABC launched the Egg Drop Egg-sperience, with 351 students and 3 elementary schools engaged in the 2023 – 2024 school year. The number grew to 366 students and 8 schools in 2024 – 2025 and XXX in 2025 – 2026.

The Gibsons and Sechelt Fire Services are key partners with the Egg Drop, bringing their ladder trucks and several fire fighters to each Drop. The fire fighters joined in at each of the Drops, adding their sizzle to the events. Their resourcefulness and community engagement is superb.
